Tag Friday for A Vintage Journey

Hello all and thanks for dropping in! Today the creative guides are sharing tags over at A Vintage Journey, we will also announcing our latest winers, so do hop over to take a look.
Here is my tag:
It is a triple layer tag and pretty much the opposite of clean and simple, I think I got carried away a bit....
Here is a quick step by step:
I started by cutting 2 tags from Manila card stock using the largest tag die from the Tim Holtz Framelets Tag collection set, it's about # 8. I created a background with the help of Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo Distress Inks and also used some Bister. If you don't know what Bister is, please click here. I curled the edge of one of the tags and then stamped with bleach using stamps from the Classics 7 set.

Obviously, as I was going to layer one tag on top of the other, I did not need to colour all of the bottom one. Here is a close up of the bleach stamping. Love the effect, even though it is a little smelly..
Next I cut a third tag, tore it in half and coloured it with the same colours of Distress Ink:
I ran the bottom though a little embossing folder, the Tim Holtz fancy swirl one and highlighted the raised bits with Vintage Photo, by taking the little mini ink pad straight to the raised bit and then spritzing with water. Next I prepared my embellishments:
I altered them with Peacock Feather and Tumbled Glass Distress paints. I also used some Espresso Alcohol Ink and highlighted with Treasure Gold in White fire.

Time to layer it all up
I added some flowers, the large one was made with the Tattered Florals die and a little tattered banner with some rub on words. I also added a few bits of tissue tape.
The little dragonfly was tucked above the rolled up second layer:

Finally I made a little tag to fit in the pocket:
Again using the same colours of Distress Inks but this time on a Kraft card tag. I also did some stenciling, more bleach stamping with a little text stamp and the main sentiment is from the Classics 11 set.

Well hope you like my over the top tag
Believe it or not but I am actually a huge fan of Clean and Simple, I just can't do it lol.

Well, there you go, make sure to go and see the amazing tags my teamies have made and stay inky and creative!
Happy weekend everyone!!

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
